Internship in the DAAD Warsaw Office

© DAAD/Abbis

DAAD Warsaw offers interested students from Germany the chance to do a work placement at the Regional Office. Preferably, this work placement should be supported by an appropriate scholarship.

There are a number of options:

  • Voluntary service “kulturweit
The Warsaw Regional Office takes trainees to do a 6-month period of voluntary service as part of the “kulturweit” programme. “kulturweit” is an initiative of the Federal Foreign Office in collaboration with the German UNESCO Commission. Trainees can start in March or September. In addition to practical work, they attend accompanying seminars and a language course and carry out their own project. Coordination and applications are organised by the German UNESCO Commission.
You will find further information, detailed time schedules and the application portal at www.kulturweit.de.
  • Scholarships from 13 foundations providing assistance to particularly gifted students and financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
Students awarded a scholarship by one of the 13 foundations providing assistance to particularly gifted students can often apply for support for a stay abroad, for example for a work placement, as part of the scholarship programme. You will find further information on foundations providing assistance to particularly gifted students here: www.stipendiumplus.de.
  • University scholarships
Some universities offer scholarships for work placements. Please contact your university to find out whether there are scholarships available.
